About

The Deer Park Dads Club (DPDC) is a group designed to promote involvement in Deer Park Elementary (DPE) by Dads, Grandpas, Uncles, or any male who plays a role in the raising of a DPE student. The club also encourages the enrichment of their kid’s lives though on and off school campus gatherings and activities.

Dad and Kid Days Out are held every other month on the second Saturday of that month. The activities could range from a BBQ, a Fishing Outing, or a day at a bounce house. The purpose of the outings is to promote bonding between the fathers/father figures and the children. These events will, at times, involve a small fee (activity prices will be advertised well in advance of the event). Older and younger siblings are welcome at most of these events.

All Pro Dad Breakfasts are held the last Friday of every month during the school year. The meeting runs from 7-7:50AM and is held in DPE’s cafeteria.   Breakfast will be available for purchase at the meetings (please bring cash - preferably small bills).

The Annual Dads Club Golf Tournament is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The event is held at the Eagles golf course during the second half of the school year. We encourage all dads and businesses to field a foursome and/or sponsor a hole. This is typically the Dads Club’s last event of the year and, as such, is a time to reflect on a fantastic year by hanging out with the friends you have made through out the year.

How do you join? Do you have or know a child at Deer Park Elementary? If yes, then you are already in the dads club. We encourage you to sign up at the official website (http://www.deerparkdads.com) so that you can be kept up to date with the latest events. Be sure to check the site often for the latest flyers and additional dad resources. We also encourage all dads to become active PTA members. The PTA works with the school administration to address parent and student concerns. By being an active PTA member you are showing your child that you care about the kind of school environment that they are being educated in.
